‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: The timeline with ‘Wonderland’ spin-off
Given that we have yet to see much official footage from “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” save for a small trailer, it’s understandable that you have a number of questions, beginning specifically with when exactly this series is going to take place.
Luckily, we now have an answer for you on this very thing. Speaking in a new interview with TV Guide, executive producer Adam Horowitz explains that the pilot will actually begin around the same time frame as the start of season 2 of the flagship show, and then try to move forward from there:
“Wonderland takes place post-curse, so the pilot actually starts when magic comes and the Wraith happens.”
There is going to be a surprising connection to the regular “Once Upon a Time” series (the original flavor, if you will) that is made pretty apparent during the pilot episode itself, but if you are not a loyal viewer of either series, don’t worry. While the two shows will compliment each other in many ways, watching one is not necessitated on watching the other. Therefore, you will be able to check out the spin-off (which is airing on Thursdays this fall) without really knowing anything at all about the original series. Given that it is only supposed to last for around thirteen episodes, you will hopefully then be able to use this knowledge to get a better understanding of the “Once Upon a Time” world as a whole without spending too much of your life sifting through two seasons of the show.
What do you want to see happen on the “Once Upon a Time” spin-off, and is there any one facet of production that intrigues you the most right now? If you want to read a little bit more news concerning Ginnifer Goodwin, all you have to do is click here.
