‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Who does Matthew Morrison want on board?

For Matthew Morrison, season 4 of “Glee” was certainly a little bit of an odd year. The actor, once originally the driving force behind the show during the pilot, was relegated at times to either being the supportive coach of New Directions, a man trying to get Emma to marry him, or just gone altogether while he went to try and improve arts education in Washington DC. We hope that we see more of him during the show’s fifth season, but we don’t know how much it will be possible for graduating students to spend time around him.

While Morrison himself does not know the full extent of his role just yet, he is still keen to chat about who he would love to see become the latest big-name guest star on board the cast. Speaking per BANG Showbiz, he explained that he would love to see a man join the show who he has worked with rather extensively as of late in Sir Elton John:

”I would love to have Elton John, and I know the part I want for him too. I want him to play Sue Sylvester’s boyfriend. Wouldn’t that be funny? I think it would be hilarious, I think the two of them would be so funny.”

Morrison definitely has the contacts to make the gig happen, assuming of course that Elton would want it. He has not only collaborated with the “Rocket Man” singer in the past, but he has attended a number of his charity events over the past several years. Elton really is one of those people who could easily have a full tribute episode on the show, and we’d love to see that along with him making a cameo to boot.
