MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Who’s having a bro-b-cue?

Since we are in the middle of Memorial Day Weekend, doesn’t it only seem appropriate to anyone else that we have a sneak peek for Tuesday night’s “Awkward” season 3 episode that revolves somewhat around the spirit of barbecue?

However, this subject may not exactly come up in the way in which you would originally think. It’s not something that was originally planned, or really even thought about by anyone. Instead, Matty brings it up on a whim as a means to prove to Jenna that he is not the kind of guy who just sits around and that he gets involved with her life. You see, she is having a reading in conjunction with her creative writing class, and it’s not something that she is particularly excited about at all. As a matter of fact, we’re not sure that there is a way for her to be any less excited about it than she is. She does not want any of her friends to attend, mostly so that she does not get nervous in front of them and there is also not any further embarrassment beyond what she is already going to feel.

Luckily, it seems like she is going to get her wish … mostly because of Matty thinking something up on the fly. Jake plays along with it, however, it almost sets off a fight between him and Tamara, as she wonders why he never bothered to tell her about this supposed “plan” that he had (even though there is clearly a very good reason for it in that he didn’t even know that there was a plan at all).
