‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: Yvonne Strahovski unsure of Hannah’s endgame

While we know for certain now that Yvonne Strahovski will be making a reprieve as Hannah McKay on the eighth and final season of “Dexter,” there is still one other element of this mystery that reminds intact: What happens to her from here? This is apparently so big of a mystery at the moment that not even the actress herself knows the answer to it, though some of this does appear to be by choice.

In a new interview with Yahoo! TV talking about her character’s future, Strahovski admits that she has specifically set up her work so that she does not find out anything about her character in a way that puts her in a major advantage over the viewer watching the story play out from home:

“I kind of chose not to ask what was going to happen with [Hannah]. … I personally don’t know what the character’s fate will be. I think I’m almost too scared to ask. Part of me doesn’t want to spoil the surprise.”

While Strahovski would not disclose any details at all as to what we are going to be seeing Hannah doing when she returns to the show at some point during the season, you will learn what she has been up to, at least somewhat, in her time away. We’re largely shocked that she is coming back at all, given that Dexter chose to protect his sister over her, and she is also a heavily wanted woman in Miami.
