‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Colton Haynes on Roy, Thea’s mysterious future
As you’re sitting here reading this article, odds are that you are probably missing having the opportunity to watch a new episode of “Arrow” on Wednesday night. For quite a few weeks now, this CW series has been an anchor of the lineup, and one of their highest-rated shows. It also had a finale that was apparently so stuffed full of footage that quite a bit had to be left on the cutting-room floor.
For one example of this very thing, just listen to what Colton Haynes had to say (per TVLine) about one pivotal scene involving his character of Roy Harper that did not end up making the cut. Why? It apparently alluded a little too much to the story that is coming up in the fall:
“They cut out an entire scene that would’ve given a lot more away. It was a big scene … that might’ve told you the route that Thea is going, or the route that Roy is going. But I think they didn’t want to give too much away.”
When it comes to the Roy character overall, the producers have been doing a pretty good job dangling a carrot in front of us. We still have no idea as to what in the world is coming up save for what happens in the DC Comic series, but “Arrow” already showed with Tommy that they are not necessarily intent on staying firm to the source material. The option is clearly there for so much more when it comes to Roy, at least depending on what the writers choose to do next.
One thing that we can tell you right now? There will be much more coming to you soon when it comes to the villains on “Arrow” season 2. For more on that, just look at what the show’s bosses are saying right now about a pair that will dominate most of the season.
