Upload season 3 episode 3 spoilers: The fallout of two Nathans
As we prepare for Upload season 3 episode 3 on Prime Video later this week, what will the top priority be?
Well, for us as a viewer, one of the things that we are most enjoying is the idea of having two different versions of Nathan Brown. One of them is out in the real world with Nora, whereas the other has been rebooted from right after casino night. This is one that actually saw Ingrid in a very specific light, and seems invested now in the idea of making something work with her. However, they haven’t run into Nora yet and, in general, it feels clear that things are going to be getting messy.

How much so? Well, here is some of what executive producer Greg Daniels had to say on the subject to TV Insider:
[The story of two Nathans is] basically setting up a lot of interesting things for Ingrid that you don’t normally get, which is to have a second chance with this guy if he didn’t see all of the fighting and the bad behavior and the lying that happened. Maybe she can go and set the clock back. She knows about it, but he doesn’t. And then the idea that there’s two of the same guy and eventually they’re going to run into each. And from Nora’s standpoint, it’s like, “Well wait a minute now, I have two boyfriends, one of them who I went through the last six months with and a sort of fresher one from the past.” So it’s one of the most fun parts about doing science fiction is the ability to have these premises that people haven’t really explored before but still ground them in the reality of your character’s emotional experience.
With Nora, we imagine that the new Nathan could be a way to escape some of the challenges of the one in her world, one that comes with different challenges. This show has always been about flawed characters trying to get a better handle on their lives, and we certainly do not think that this is about to change now.
