NBC’s ‘The Office’ series finale spoilers: A time jump; Dwight and Angela’s wedding

As we prepare to say goodbye to “The Office” for good Thursday night, we are also going to be taking a look at just what these characters’ lives are like in the six months that have transpired since we last saw them. This means a deeper look into their future, what they are hoping to get out of their lives, and also a chance to actually see two beloved characters tie the knot in Dwight and Angela.

Really, the wedding itself creates a pretty perfect situation for so many old faces to come back together. As you knew already, Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak are each going to be back, and it appears as though she is still with the doctor that she met prior to her departure from the show. Does this mean that nothing ever happened between Kelly and Ryan? Considering how crazy these two are (not to mention the connection that they had over the years), we have a hard time believing that.

This situation could also create the absolute perfect dynamic for one final visit from Steve Carell’s Michael Scott. It is still not confirmed that he will be back, though we do at least know that he was on set the day that the show filmed many of its finale scenes. Some things are better off being left a mystery … especially this late in the game.

The one thing that is probably not a mystery to anyone? That by the time that the final ten minutes roll around, many of us will be bawling our eyes out. We’ve stuck with this show even when it was hard (i.e. season 8), and it is definitely worth it now.
