ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2 finale spoilers: Olivia Pope and a cardboard box
Whenever you see any character on a TV show (or really just any person ever) carrying a cardboard box through a room, there is really one thought that should end up coming inside of your head: This can’t be good. When it comes to the “Scandal” finale airing on ABC Thursday night, we’re sensing the worst is coming. Anytime that Olivia Pope is seen with something as unglamorous as card board, you know that there’s trouble.
So what is the context for this particular bout of box-carrying? The best way that we can put it is rather simple: We have no idea right now. Sounds cruel, but all we have to share right now is a photo. Could the fixer really be in some significant trouble? Much like a tidal wave that built up power closer and closer to shore, things are starting to get out of control for Kerry Washington’s character.
While so much fuss has been made about how Fitz has put almost everything on the line in order to be with her, at this point we’re not sure that enough has been said about what she in turn is doing for him. The woman is putting her whole career on the line basically on the hopes that Mellie does not fully go into Woman Scorned 2.0 mode and call her out in a press conference. Then, she may as well replace her white outfit for a giant scarlet letter.
We can promise that there is some good Olivia / Fitz stuff coming, and this twisted romance will be spliced in with the equally-twisted storyline about a certain mole being a man that so many of us presumed to be dead. What a stellar twist this was, and how confused it makes us for the finale already.
Have you not had enough of the “Scandal” scoop yet? We also have a story to check out about the future of the series beyond this year.

Well let’s see. When Harrison successfully got Abby to believe was an abuser and won Stephen’s office, Quinn carried a box into Harrison’s office with some of his things. I haven’t seen anyone else walking with a cardboard box like that one.
