‘The X Factor’ UK: Is Sharon Osbourne near deal to replace Tulisa?
All season long, we have largely doubted speculation that Sharon Osbourne could be returning to the British version of “The X Factor,” if for no other reason than that the woman already has a job aboard “The Talk,” and we have no earthly idea how she would be able to do both.
While we still don’t have many answers when it comes to that, it does appear more and more like the former judge is getting set to reprise her old position on the panel moving forward to the fall. According to the Daily Mirror, Osbourne has agreed to a new deal that will pay her 1.5 million pounds in order to return to the show, though a source tells the publication that money in this instance was not exactly her primary concern:
“Sharon and TV bosses feel there is very much unfinished business following her first stint on the show – and are delighted that she has agreed to return. It was never about the money for Sharon. She genuinely loves the programme and considers her previous time on the panel as being a very fulfilling time in her life.”
We don’t have any doubt at all that Sharon would be a great mentor on the show, especially when you consider that she has not only done it before, but her history in music as a manager really speaks for itself. Plus, she is attentive and a good communicator, and you need to be both sometimes to get the best out of your artists.
Perhaps most importantly, we like that Simon Cowell could be making chemistry picks here, as Sharon is still pals with fellow show judge Louis Walsh. She would be replacing Tulisa Contostavlos, who was a part of the show for two seasons.
What do you think: Is Sharon the right person to take over the “X Factor” gig? If you want to also check out the latest headlines from the American version of the show, you can do so over here.
