NBC’s ‘The Office’: John Krasinski lands post-series finale ‘Arrested Development’ gig
Well, it did not take John Krasinski very long at all in order to land himself one of his first gigs following the series finale filming for “The Office.” Not only that, but the actor managed to book himself a part on what may be one of the other most-popular comedies of the past decade.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Krasinski has been cast in the upcoming Netflix revival of “Arrested Development,” though there are really no other details available right now as to what role he is going to play save for it being a cameo. While this series is not even airing on television as it has long been established, the show has managed to garner quite a stellar lineup of guest stars for its launch on May 26. Some of the other faces currently set to appear include Kristen Wiig, Conan O’Brien, Andy Richter, Ben Stiller, John Slattery, Isla Fisher, Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, Liza Minnelli, and many more.
“Arrested Development” was of course at one point a critical darling on Fox, though it was sadly canceled due to low ratings. It was enthusiasm by both the fans and the cast and crew that spawned the revival, which has been extended to a pretty impressive 15 episodes. With Netflix making this installments available all at once, you really do have to ask the following question: How many people out there are really going to binge-watch all of them in just a couple of days?
Krasinski’s role on “The Office” will come to a close for viewers on Thursday, May 16. If you want to read some more scoop related to that courtesy of Steve Carell and Angela Kinsey, be sure to visit the link here.
