ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2, episode 19 preview: More from Olivia and Fitz
When “Scandal” gave us a promo for the April 25 episode “Seven Fifty-Two” last week, it was by and large just filler content with a couple of scattered clips thrown in to keep things exciting. Well, we’ve just gotten an opportunity to check out the first real promo for the hour, and it is safe to say that the intensity is starting to really be ratcheted up a few notches as we near the season finale.
For one, do you remember all of the tension that is there between Fitz and Olivia Pope? Well, it’s about to be back on another level. These two are really going to be going at one another now that Kerry Washington’s character has started to figure out what Fitz was trying to do when it comes to Jake, and it of course culminates in a pretty powerful declaration of “that’s not love.” (It’s also, you know, incredibly creepy.)
While the promo does not really give much insight into where the show is going next, you really have one of the more epic love triangles / squares out there right now. Olivia has two suitors-of-sorts in Fitz and Jake, though neither one of them is really putting all of their cards out on the table right now. Meanwhile, Fitz also has a marriage to Mellie to think about, as she is going to be proving herself yet again as someone not willing to sit idly by and watch the world collapse around her.

You two CLEARLY haven’t been watching this show.
He’s tried to leave his wife for Olivia at the end season 1, and she sent him back.
If Olivia tells him to leave Mellie TOMORROW Fitz will do it. Don’t kid yourself, she is where she is because she CHOOSES to be.
There is nothing empowering about Liv’s illicit relationship with Fitz’s murderous lying underling, and if it continues much longer, it WILL crash the ratings.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves.
Once the majority of the audience fixes on a particular pairing, it’s over.
Shonda Rhimes will end up with a cancelled show on her hands in less than 2 seasons if the keep Jake around, because the crowd that made Scandal chose Olivia and Fitz, and if you look at the blogs, this is REALLY annoying some of them.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Player hating Fitz/Olivia as a pairing is a route to failure.
The idea of Fitz and Mellie as a viable couple is self delusion, and the idea of Jake as anything other than a dangerous liar is a the work of a foolish mind.
In reality, a man who would watch you on video cameras, see you upset and then call and PREY on you, is eventually going to chop you up and put your remains in a wheelie bin.
The whole video surveillance thing was wrong.
Fitz was drunk and at odds with Olivia all year.

I love Scandal and always look forward to watching the show. But I am definitely a Fitz and Liv fan. They have the best chemistry on tv. But SRhimes needs to get the Liv/Fitz groove back. Jake is not the one for Liv. No Chemistry between them at all.

I want more Jake and Olivia. She’s totally consumed him. Love that she fell for both navy guys. This is great. I can’t wait to see what happen between them. Triangle is great. Love it.

I don’t care who Jake ends up with, so long as I get to see him shirtless. Fitz, is super doper old. He’s boring. I want excitement and fun. Breath life back into Scandal. Jake and Olivia is alot more fun to watch and their sex scene was off the radar. It wasn’t bang, bang and I’m gone. It was great to see her waking up on his bed and arms. It wasn’t about politics and how she can help her. It was a moment where she was knocked off her feet and allowed her to see herself happy in a long time. Love their chemistry. I love, love when he kissed her and walk away. I almost die. Love, love it was totally about Olivia and making Olivia happy because he saw how happy she was. It wasn’t about him being unhappy in his relationship and wanted a fix or to be fixed. That’s more real than any affairs. For once Olivia was being fixed and taken care of. Epic!!!

I must agree Jake came in an conquer my heart. I hope we get to see him shirtless in each episode. Jake, may be all good or all bad, but aim hook and begging for more.
Fitz and Mellie deserves each other because she knows how to bring him back when he hits rock bottom. She’ll do just about anything for her husband. Love her feisty. She doesn’t take prisoners, She crushes them. So Olivia have that woman husband alone.

I’m a Olitz fan, but it’s sad to say, but all the air is sucked out. I’m now intrigue by Jake and Olivia. Jake is for the younger generation and Fitz for the older people. The younger generation wants excitement not crazy stupid pining.

Jake gives me the creeps.
The idea of him as a viable love interest is ridiculous.
Fitz may have (understandably) behaved rather badly since being shot and subsequently finding out that he may not have actually won the election and one of the conspirators decided to KILL him, but, at least their relationship is founded on love and started with all cards on the table.
Jake was lying FROM THE START, and going home and STARING at her on screen.
The Jake Olivia relationship has NOWHERE to go and only a simpleton could think otherwise.

I am a huge Fitz and Olivia fan. I can’t stand to look at Jake when he’s on the screen and the fact that Olivia slept with him just made me cringe. He is not right for her no matter how good he may look. He’s the one who’s been watching her regardless to who made him do it. I don’t trust him one bit and Olivia needs to get her ‘gut’ working and figure him out. With that being said, I know there are rough waters ahead for Olitz.

I will always want Olitz together. Olivia knows that’s what she wants as well. But, she doesn’t want to be the mistress forever. Fitz has to make a decision on his personally life. A change has to come in order for the Olitz to go on. I know that SR says that if they get together it will bring the WH/presidency. Do you fill it’s worth it. I do put it all out there for the world to see and deal with it. Anything worth having is worth fighting for regardless what the people think. In the end it will be the two of them fight the cause. Jake is in the way…there is not any chemistry whatsoever between him and Liv. Fitz is amazing. Liv and him need to have a sit down and get back together, STAT! I’m not excited to come to the tv if it’s just Jake there. It has to be Olitz. Jake didn’t bring me to Scandal and he da** sure can’t keep me watching. Fitz is the man. Period. End of story. Jake as far as I can tell is an incompetent buffoon who cannot follow simple orders. He wasn’t supposed to be dating his work. Please, get Liv and Fitz back on screen, their chemistry is amazing. I don’t feel anything when Liv and Jake kiss, except for an aching need for Fitz to come back!

Jake may win the battle, but eventually Fitz will win the war!! It will always be Fitz in Olivia’s heart! They just need to work out there crap before getting back together.
