ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2 spoilers: New details on Fitz’s big move

If you have been reading some of our “Scandal” stories as of late, then you may already be aware of the news that we are going to see a certain President Fitzgerald Grant make a shocking decision, one that will alter the course of many of the show’s characters. So what will said move be? While everyone related to the show is doing their best to stay mum on that subject, we at least have a few more hints that suggest the ramifications that it will have.

Speaking as a part of a brand-new interview with Entertainment Weekly, here is what executive producer Betsy Beers had to say:

“Fitz is going to do something that’s going to really, I think, alter the course of what’s coming … I think what you can honestly say is that every single character is going to be impacted by [it].”

While we’re certain that the ramifications of Fitz’s move here, are going to involve Mellie, Cyrus, and some other characters, the one person who is almost surely going to be in the crosshairs is none other than Olivia Pope. After all, her feelings for the man have been one of the series’ major themes to date, especially when you look back on some of the most shocking moments to take place on the series thus far. Olivia is always there, and even as recently as a few weeks ago the characters were involved in a few more significant scenes.
