‘Bones’ season 8 spoilers: A race for a cure

As we inch ever closer to the end of “Bones” season 8, the stories will start to get even more dramatic as some of the characters have more and more on the line. The latest example of this? What we are going to see unfold in the penultimate episode of the season, which is entitled “The Pathos in the Pathogens.”

What is certainly interesting about this is that the weapon that they are dealing with here is something that is much more chemical than in your typical murder; with that in mind, the very case itself runs the risk of putting the lives of many characters within the world of “Bones” at risk. For more information, just check out the official synopsis from the episode as released by Fox:

“The Jeffersonian team rushes to prevent a viral outbreak while investigating the murder of journalist Mia Garrett after her infected body is found at a biohazard facility. When the mutated virus that killed Mia infects Jeffersonian intern Arastoo Vaziri (guest star Pej Vahdat), their only chance of saving him is by solving the murder. Tension and passion build as the team races against the clock to find the killer – and the cure.”

While what happens during this episode may not directly carry over to the finale, we at least have a feeling that there is going to be some sort of tonal consistency between this episode and the very end of the season. After all, the finale wants to be able to start off firing on all cylinders, and not so much having to take a few minutes to get there.
