‘The Glades’ season 4, ‘Longmire’ season 2 land official premiere dates
Want to know when some of your favorite shows on A&E are coming back on the air? Well, the network was just kind enough to make an official announcement on the subject of two of their highest-rated summer shows.
First things first, “The Glades” season 4 will kick things off on Monday, May 27 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. This is a show that has built up a pretty dedicated following the past few years, and has turned into one of the network’s most consistent scripted performers. While almost everything at this point ratings-wise pales in comparison to the monster that is “Duck Dynasty,” it’s really rather hard to match that level of numbers considering that the Robertson clan routinely beats everything airing in primetime on some of the major networks.
Meanwhile, “Longmire,” which has become even more of a breakout hit in some ways than even “The Glades,” will kick things off the following hour at 10:00. This show has managed to bring Katee Sackhoff back to the limelight in a big way, and also brings a touch of something different to the network. To think that four years ago, A&E really was not known at all for their scripted slate; now, they have both of these shows along with another performer in “Bates Motel,” which was recently picked up for a second season and is drawing a great deal of awards-show buzz courtesy of Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga.
Which one of these two shows are you more excited to see back on the air? Be sure to share some of your thoughts with a comment below! Meanwhile, if you want to read our most-recent episode review for “Bates Motel,” you can do so over at the link here.
