NBC’s ‘Revolution,’ ‘Grimm,’ ‘The Voice’ reportedly near renewal
While NBC has yet to announce early renewals for any of their major scripted programming, the good news coming out now is that the network appears to be closer than ever to making something happen.
According to a new report from Deadline, both “Revolution” as well as “Grimm” are likely days away from being confirmed as returning for new episodes, while there will also be something formal about “The Voice.” (We already know that a season 5 is happening, so this may be about a season 6.) While “Revolution” may continue to shed viewers this week, it’s track record all year long is probably enough to get it to come back; meanwhile, “Grimm” is consistently one of Friday’s best dramas in the 18-49 demographic, and it also pulls in solid DVR figures.
In addition to these shows, we personally believe that “Chicago Fire,” “Parenthood,” and “Parks and Recreation” are all near locks to be renewed, and we could feasibly see three of the following five comedies (“Go On,” “The New Normal,” “Community,” “Whitney,” and “Guys with Kids”) coming back. The latter may be helped thanks to the relationship between the network and their future “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon, who is an executive producer on the show.
There are only a small handful of shows right now that we believe to be officially dead, and they include “Smash,” “1600 Penn,” “Fashion Star,” and “Deception.” At the moment, everything else seems to at least have some sort of a shot.
Are there any shows that you for sure what to see return for additional seasons? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts below, and you can also read our latest “Revolution” preview article by heading on over to the link here.

Deception deserves a second season, it was not even marketed considering the shiw had two Argo actors, biggest loser was the wrong lead in because people going on diet don’t want watch deception portraying beautiful people in lavish lifestyle..also NBC you put the show up against veteran shows of castle & Hawaii 5-0 that years of loyal fans…overall Deception put out consistent solid ratings maybe they are third place low but given the hurdles and battles they faced in that time slot, this show is well written with witty dialogue and great cast members that deliver character driven performances. This show belongs in the lineup, and I don’t even watch the comedies, grimm, or parenthood at all…Deception is one of your best new dramas just needs time to develop and grow thd core audience that has been consistent.

Glad to hear Revolution is getting renewed but don’t watch either Grimm or the Voice. Sad though that Deception and Fashion Star are not. They are not great but I have enjoyed watching them. I hope Deception finishes the story though. As in every case I guess, you gain some, you lose some.
