‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ season 5: First look at Teresa Giudice’s return

Even though there is no announced premiere date just yet for the upcoming fifth season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Bravo is already taking some of their first steps in promoting the show. How so? They’re starting to release a few promo shots of the ladies.

The new photo attached here was first posted by Us Weekly, and the first thing that you have to point out here is rather simple: somehow, the producers managed to get Teresa Giudice and Caroline Manzo to stand in one place (at least unless these people were all photo-shopped in, which would be pretty over-the-top in itself.)

Unlike the promotional photo of the past two years, this is not so much the whole “look at how rich we are” photo: it’s more simple and trendy, with a white-and-pink color scheme highlighted to show off the ladies femininity.It also proves that while there may be some new faces turning up as recurring players in the new season of the show, the plan for Bravo is to stick with the five regulars that have been in place since the third season: Teresa, Caroline, Melissa Gorga, Kathy Wakile, and Jacqueline Laurita. The advantage here is that you feel like you’re sitting down to watch people that you’ve grown close with; however, the disadvantage is that you run the risk of ultimately watching people fight about the same thing over and over again.
