‘Supernatural’ season 8, episode 19 preview: Is [spoiler] coming back?

On Wednesday night’s “Supernatural” season 8 episode, be ready to see a pretty substantial surprise. Hasn’t this show brought back the dead enough times that you should be able to see it coming? You would think so, but they continue to find a way to put our jaws on the floor.

We’re not going to spoil in this portion of the article who appears to be coming back in “Taxi Driver,” though if you look pretty closely at the video below, you may be able to catch a brief glimpse at the character in action just over halfway through. The character is now mentioned at all in the official synopsis for the hour, but we’ve included that below, as well, simply for good measure:

“Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) respond to a call from Kevin (guest star Osric Chau), who is terrified after hearing Crowley’s (guest star Mark Sheppard) voice in his head. After hearing Kevin’s news, Sam and Dean team up with reaper named Ajay (guest star Assaf Cohen), who helps them deal with the second trial from the Tablet. Meanwhile, Dean receives a visit from Naomi (guest star Amanda Tapping) and realizes he must find Benny (guest star Ty Olsson) and ask for a huge favor.”

So in addition to our mystery man in the promo, there are plenty of other guest stars coming along for good measure; the most curious aspect of this release, though, is that there is no word on Misha Collins, even though Amanda Tapping is stopping in as the woman responsible for controlling him.
