NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 4 premiere: Usher, Carson Daly talk strong beginning
After a few months of waiting (and some ratings doldrums over at NBC), “The Voice” is finally going to be back on the air Monday night. Not only that, but some of the folks responsible for making this show so popular are promising that there are some big things in store.
Both Usher and the show’s host in Carson Daly made an appearance Monday morning on “The Today Show,” and while at the NBC Experience Carson specifically proclaimed this premiere to be “the best episode of ‘The Voice’ ever.” He praised Usher for being someone who knows how to find and cultivate talent, and also someone who was a big fan of the show going in.
As for the “Confession” singer, he explained that mentoring is something that he really enjoys doing, and one of the biggest arguments that he tried to make to prospective team members was that in joining his team, you would have an opportunity to be with someone who has actually made stars in the real world (mostly notably Justin Bieber); while Blake Shleton and Adam Levine have each helped people with the competition, we can’t really say that either party has been altogether successful when it comes to launching careers of some of their artists after the show.
Of course, we’ll back later tonight with our full verdict on “The Voice” premiere, including if this really is the best episode of the show ever made.
What do you want to see unfold on “The Voice” this season, and do you think that both Usher and Shakira will do a great job? If you want to preview some of the contestants who are going to be a part of the show this year, you can do so by heading on over to the link here.
