‘Big Brother Canada’ review: The HoH competition (and Andrew) are hilarious
With the “Big Brother Canada” live feeds being down for as long as they were on Thursday and Friday, we knew that there was potential for this episode Sunday night to be an interesting one. After all, we really didn’t know as much about what transpired, the Head of Household competition, or some of the general craziness in the house.
Ultimately, there were some things that we knew we were going to be seeing: Alec win Head of Household, and AJ and Suzette going up on the block. However, who knew that this would be the most interesting competition at times all season long? Alec was emotional getting a visit from home via a video message, and as entertaining as watching a human maze was, it was almost canceled out courtesy of the gratuitous product placement for the Chevrolet Tracks. We understand that this helps fund the show, so we’re ultimately okay with it … even if it does take us out of the world of the show for a minute.
As for some other highlights, the biggest thing was really just watching Andrew being hilarious. Where was this guy the entire first few weeks of the season? You give the guy alcohol and let him play spin the bottle, and he really runs wild. We also have to say that AJ is both a gutsy guy for willing to up on the block, but also someone who really needs to see the writing on the wall for himself at this point. This is the second time that he has been a pawn, and when that happens, you have to know you are on the bottom of the pecking order.
We didn’t really learn anything about Suzette in here that we didn’t already know: she’s annoying to the other houesguests and not much of a gamer, so she is an easy person for Alec to target for eviction.
