‘Psych’ 100th episode preview: Get a ‘Clue’

If you love either the classic board game “Clue” or the feature film, we have a feeling that you are going to lap up the new episode of “Psych” airing on Wednesday night. Not only is this going to be an homage both of the two things mentioned above, but this also happens to be the show’s 100th episode.

In celebration of this, there are going to be many things to eat pineapple over in celebration during this hour: guest stars (Christopher Lloyd, Martin Mull), familiar jokes, and even an ending that fans can vote on live during the show. This is definitely something that is a clear reference to the “Clue” movie, which aired with a variety of different endings during its theatrical run. (Those of you who have seen it will know that Shawn is acting out in the promo below a very specific part.)

We’ve already had an opportunity to check out this episode, and while we’re not going to give too much away on this now (partially so that we have even more when it comes to scoop later), we will be very surprised if anyone leaves this show disappointed. Tribute episodes have always been some of “Psych’s” best work, and this is the best thing that the show has pulled off ever since they completely ripped “The Bachelor” a new one last season. Not only that, but you can clearly see throughout that putting this together was clearly a labor of love for executive producer Steve Franks, the cast, and really the entire crew.
