‘Hot in Cleveland’ spoilers: ‘Modern Family’s’ Jesse Tyler Ferguson checks in
Apparently, Jesse Tyler Ferguson is still looking for ways to make people laugh even away from “Modern Family,” and he just signed on to what may be one of the most-ambitious episodes of “Hot in Cleveland” that has ever been put on in the history of the show.
According to a new report from TVLine, the actor is going to be playing the part of a very intellectual director with an artistic eye, and someone that Wendie Malick’s character of Victoria is going to be very interested in doing just about anything and everything that she can in order to work with moving forward. However, there is going to be a major catch that makes this rather difficult: Ferguson’s character is going to have an eye set on someone else.
As for why this episode is going to be as ambitious as we just touted, the answer is pretty simple: we are going to be seeing a whole heap of former guest stars from “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” stop by alongside Betty White for the first time in years, including Cloris Leachman, Valerie Harper (despite some recent tragic news in her personal life), and Moore herself (making her second appearance on the show). This is the sort of reunion that the executives over at TV Land have to be jumping up and down about with excitement, as it allows them the opportunity to bring in more publicity for a show that has managed to pull in quite a few notable guest stars already during its run.
In case you are unsure how this reunion is going to be possible, remember that the network recently renewed the show for a fifth season, which means that we will be seeing plenty more of Betty White and company moving forward.
