‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Fifth Harmony, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Little Mix

Ready for the latest Fifth Harmony song cover? In the video below, you can hear the girl group, who is still very much on the rise following their time on “The X Factor” USA season 2, perform a hit made famous by Ed Sheeran.

The performance below is of “Lego House,” and this may be the group’s strongest cover like this they have done so far. The harmonies here and frankly fantastic, and you get an opportunity to hear more of Camila Cabello’s voice here than you did at various times on the show this past season. Now that the girls are really getting the opportunity to sit back and do some work in the studio, they have been able to find themselves and their vibe without the pressures of time (or show producers) banging down their doors.

Simon Cowell recently said that he is happy with the group’s progress thus far, and there will be some new music coming out from them later this year.

Carly Rose Sonenclar attends Little Mix event – Ever since we watched them as Rhythmix on “The X Factor” prior to their name change, we’ve wondered when Little Mix would head over to America for a promotional tour. Well, it’s happening now just as their single “Wings” is starting to get some play on the radio.

Now, they’ve finally come to New York City, and they even met one of the season 2 standout acts here in Carly Rose Sonenclar. Check out the photo to the left for evidence! The ladies also performed an acoustic set while at the Hard Rock Cafe, and you can specifically check out their take on “Wings” from the event below. This song already was a #1 in the United Kingdom, and there has been a huge amount of success lately for British “X Factor” acts in America. Just ask Cher Lloyd, Olly Murs, or One Direction, who have all had songs in the top 20 of the pop radio chart in the past year.
