‘The Newsroom’ season 2 spoilers: The subject of the premiere
We are only a number of months away now from the second season of “The Newsroom,” and we now know one topic that surely will make you interested: just what subjects are going to be covered over the course of the hour.
According to a new report from Zap2It, one of the biggest conflicts that we are going to run across in this big episode is the 9/11 anniversary coverage that ACN is planning to do. The conflict? Charlie has made the decision to consider pulling Will McAvoy off the air for the big event, stemming largely from the fact that at the end of last season, he compared the Tea Party as an organization to the Taliban. His hard-pressed opinions on this segment of the Republican party, despite him professing to be a Republican himself, ended up becoming a great source of conflict between him and some other characters.
As for what else is going to be in the premiere away from the news, there will be even more movement on the Don – Maggie – Jim love triangle that played out almost for the entire first season. For the sake of not being too frustrating, let’s hope that this is wrapped up in some shape or form pretty quickly here … especially since we know now that Sloan does have some feelings for Don that she has been keeping at bay.
Speaking of Sloan, who would have thought she would have such an interest in fantasy football? Well, she does, and this is going to make for a more light-hearted storyline as she organizes a league.
