‘Supernatural’ season 8 spoilers: First details on Benny’s return
While Dean Winchester has already been through quite the journey with Benny on “Supernatural” already this season, it’s not over yet. The 19th episode of the season, which carries with it the title of “Taxi Driver,” is going to feature the return of this major thorn in his side. Not only that, but we are going to see more problems when it comes to Kevin. (Of course, Crowley is involved here; what else would you expect?)
You can check out the full synopsis for this episode below (via TVOvermind), and one of the most surprising aspects about it from this perspective is that there is no mention of Misha Collins’ Castiel, even though the woman controlling him right now in Naomi (Amanda Tapping) is set to appear:
“Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) respond to a call from Kevin (guest star Osric Chau), who is terrified after hearing Crowley’s (guest star Mark Sheppard) voice in his head. After hearing Kevin’s news, Sam and Dean team up with reaper named Ajay (guest star Assaf Cohen), who helps them deal with the second trial from the Tablet. Meanwhile, Dean receives a visit from Naomi (guest star Amanda Tapping) and realizes he must find Benny (guest star Ty Olsson) and ask for a huge favor.”
Of course, one thing that we should make very clear here right away is that Misha’s omission from the press release is by no means a guarantee that he will be away this episode; we just don’t have the evidence yet to say for sure. Regardless, it looks as though this will be an eventful and entertaining episode, and it is nice to see that as we near the end of the season, we are going to see more and more attention given to the tablet storyline that has been around since the start of the year.
If you want to see a sneak peek from next week’s episode that focuses on Sam, Dean, and Castiel, you can check that out by visiting the story over at the link here.

I’m concerned that Naomi, perhaps realizing she is losing control of Cas (?), is going to try to convince Dean that he has ‘gone rogue’ or has ‘gone darkside’ and that Dean shouldn’t trust him. That she’s going to lie and tell him Crowley got Cas out of Purgatory and has been using him against Dean. Nothing would surprise me, when it comes to the conniving Naomi.
