‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Colton Haynes promoted to series regular
The folks over at The CW’s “Arrow” may have been starting to sweat it out when it comes to Colton Haynes. Kelly Hu (China White), Jessica de Gouw (Helena / The Huntress), and Seth Gabel (The Coutn), have all been offered parts in other pilots, and they certainly didn’t want to run the risk of losing one of their other cast members for any span of time outside of just a brief episode here and there.
With that in mind, it has been confirmed that Haynes has been promoted to a series regular for the second season of the show as his character of Roy Harper (who may or may not turn into Speedy down the road). Haynes, best known for his role on “Teen Wolf” prior to his surprising departure at the end of season 2, has actually only appeared in one episode of the show thus far, but has filmed more and the producers are obviously liking what they are seeing out of him. Anyone who reads the Green Arrow comics knows already about just what sort of impact Harper has on the story, and it will be seen if he will be as significant as a part of this show.
This is the second promotion that the series has handed out over the past few weeks, as Emily Bett Rickards has already been promoted for the new season as his character of Felicity Smoak. She, however, has appeared in a good many episodes thus far, and is already a major part of the storyline.
