‘Big Brother Canada’ live feed spoilers: The turning tide

One thing that is always fascinating about watching any “Big Brother” season, which is also precisely why we enjoy writing about the show and the live feeds so much, is how if you give people enough time to sit around and think, they will eventually find themselves dissatisfied with their plans to the extent that they turn them upside down. (Warning: spoilers ahead.)

For the latest example of that, just see what is going on when it comes to Aneal in the house. At the time that we published our last article, there was probably a 5% chance that he would stay in the game moving forward. Now, that chance has risen to around 25% based on some of the plotting brought on by Tom, Peter, and Alec that after Gary takes himself off of the block and Jillian puts up Danielle, that they should vote to evict her and make the first enormous move of the season.

As for why they are making this move, the reasoning is simple: to keep themselves safer in the long-term. They can cut a deal with Aneal that he will put up Gary and Suzette in the event that he wins Head of Household later on, which is something Danielle will not do. This all-guys alliance (which also includes Emmett) is trying to think from the strategy of numbers; while we personally don’t see Danielle winning many challenges, if they want to use Aneal as an ally, so be it.

There are still some issues, though, that may keep this plan from happening. For one, they have to find six people total to vote to save Aneal, and that even includes convincing Emmett to go against the wishes of his make-out buddy in Jillian. (Then again, we think that the HoH could be convinced to change her mind considering that she was convinced to put Aneal on the block in the first place.) Andrew seems to be somewhat interested, but even if those five guys are in, they still need a vote from the ladies.

The guys are also counting on the fact that Aneal will stay quiet and not blab about the plan to someone else. While if we were him, we would go along with this plan and backstab them later, we don’t know if he will do that or be able to keep his ego in check long enough to stay quiet.
