‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: First look at ‘Transplant Wasteland’
There is not too much known at the moment about the moment when it comes to “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9, mostly because we have a couple of weeks now to wait until the show returns to ABC with new episodes. There is thus no new promo to share just yet, and most details were scarce … before now.
The 17th episode of the season (which will be coming on the air later in March) is entitled “Transplant Wasteland,” which to us does make us think a little bit about a certain song from The Who. SpoilerTV recently released the official synopsis for the hour, and it suggests that even though Seattle Grace now has a buyer, the troubles for the establishment are really far from over:
“Discord and chaos created by new management causes one doctor to question his future at Seattle Grace; the doctors and interns juggle multiple transplant surgeries simultaneously.”
Of course, the “new management” being referred to here is none other than one Dr. Jackson Avery, who has been put in what has to be an incredibly awkward position courtesy of his mother. He cannot really be “one of the guys” when he is forced to also run the ship, and he could also be overseeing a number of doctors who are significantly older and more experienced than him. This is something that has only been touched on briefly on the show in the past, so it should bring an interesting new dynamic to the proceedings.
