‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: Jennifer Carpenter shares Deb’s new…
Well, we already know one change that is going to be coming up almost right away on “Dexter” season 8: Debra Morgan is going to be getting a brand-new set of wheels.
In a new post on her Twitter account this week, Jennifer Carpenter shared the photo to the left of this article; and thus, this makes this the first real photo from the production of the Showtime drama this season. Filming started up earlier this week in Los Angeles, though concrete details about the story are still unclear.
Carpenter also included the following caption to go along with it:
“Behind Chris Pappas is Deb’s new ride! Can you believe they trust me with it…?”
As you probably recall from season 7, Deb’s old car was completely totaled after her water bottle was poisoned by Hannah McKay. To this day, this is the moment of the season that bothered us the most, especially since she is someone who previously had never gotten it wrong when it comes to trying to kill someone. Why start now, especially when you have so much on the line?
Speaking of Hannah, there’s still no word on whether or not Yvonne Strahovski will return for the new season. We’ve heard that the producers are interested in it happening, but given the nature of her exit last year, it would be counter-intuitive for her to just pop up right away in the story this time around. There has to be a little bit of distance, and maybe she will turn up later in the season.
What do you think about Deb’s new ride? If you want to see some more “Dexter” season 8 scoop on some of the new characters set to appear, you can do so over at the link here.

She got caught because it wasn’t her normal method of trying to kill someone. Because she tried to disguise it was Deb doing it on her own to being avoided as main suspect. Simple logic. Her emotions got involved this time as it pertained to Dexter. That’s also what happens when it comes to that. Plus, she made mistakes before. She just got lucky.
