‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Will Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder reunite?
As you have likely seen already courtesy of the first promo for Thursday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries,” Damon Salvatore is going to find himself in quite a pickle courtesy of a member of The Five. Not only that, but it’s unclear as to whether or not, who is trying to keep the peace with Stefan and Rebekah, is going to be able to find him.
In looking beyond Thursday night to the episode entitled “Stand By Me” airing the following week, we have seen photographic evidence that both Elena and Stefan are able to get off the island; however, Ian Somerhalder’s character is still stuck on it. Luckily, we have some new evidence suggesting that he may have also found his way back to Mystic Falls: the photo above, which was first published this week by Hollywood.com. Unless this is some sort of dream sequence, this photo shows off two very important things:
1. Damon does not appear to have any substantial injuries on the surface.
2. The trinity is back together! We don’t know if they are actually getting along, but they seem to be at least reasonably unified.
At the end of the day, it is possible that the characters could have a common enemy if Shane does manage to release Silas into the world, as this ancient being is one of the most powerful to ever walk the earth. The brothers have been at odds for much of the season, as they have handled everything from the vampire cure to their feelings for Elena very differently.
What do you think could bring these three characters together? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below, and you can check out some more scoop at what is hitting “The Vampire Diaries” even later this season at the link here.

Maybe the series should go back to being about Stefan, Damon and Elena and their friends and lose the Originals (for a while). Its good when they work together, and maybe they should all try and be single for a while.
