‘Do No Harm’ receives elusive two-episode cancellation from NBC
After seeing the ratings for “Do No Harm” the past week and a half, you knew that this was coming: after posting one of the most embarrassing launches in the history of network television, the lowest in fact of any series to premiere in-season on any of the major networks, NBC has pulled the plug on the medical dual-personality series after only two episodes.
Just how bad was “Do No Harm”? To put it in perspective, Thursday night’s episode scored lower than such other shows this week as “Whitney,” “Guys with Kids,” repeats of “Family Guy” on cable, “Impractical Jokers” on TruTV, “Buckwild,” three shows on The CW (or four, if you include a tie with “The Carrie Diaries”), and even “Barter Kings,” some show that sounds like it was just an “Auction Hunters” spin-off.
“Do No Harm” is a pretty nasty stain on Robert Greenblatt’s resume right now, and the 2013 season could not be going more differently for NBC than their fall. The launch of “Community” this week is actually one of their few success stories (who would have thought that?) along with “Chicago Fire,” as “Smash” season 2 tanked, “Go On” and “The New Normal” have suffered without “The Voice,” “1600 Penn” is a flop, and it is starting to look more and more like “Up All Night” may be done after Christina Applegate quit the show this week halfway through a format change.
The date Greenblatt probably has circled on his calendar right now is March 25: this is when “Revolution” and “The Voice” come back on the air, and the network begs to the TV gods that there is a way that the rest of the year can be salvaged. After all, nothing else is cutting it until that time.
How bad do you think even picking up “Do No Harm” makes NBC look right now? Be sure to share your thoughts below!

All of the 13 episode order of Do No Harm were filmed, so NBC will probably find some time to burn them off. The show wrapped production before the show got cancelled.

I don’t know why you don’t like Barter Kings. It’s a great show and a lot of people like it. Nowadays bartering is a good alternative to save money if you can’t afford everytime new things. I swap for dentist work on barterquest.com! It helps me to save money and you receive also a high value service!

I don’t understand why this show has those bad ratings. If you watch the show you can actually see that the story and everything is brilliant. I’m really sad the show got canceled because it could be a hit series if it was in another time slot or some other network. Anyway they’re always canceling great shows such as The Secret Circle, Emily Owens, CGB, The Mob Doctor and now Do No Harm. =/
