‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: We’re not done with death yet….
If you thought that the only major shocker on “The Vampire Diaries” season 4 was going to be the death of Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) during last week’s episode “A View to a Kill,” prepare to be shocked. After all, the producers and writers behind the CW hit seem to have another pretty massive trick up their sleeve.
According to a brand-new report coming in via Zap2It, there is also going to be another significant death on the show before the series again goes on hiatus at some point next month. As for who it will be, there are clearly a number of candidates, but there are probably also a number of people that we can easily write off:
Elena, Stefan, and Damon – They are the holy trinity of this show, and thus we cannot imagine a situation in which any of these main characters are sent packing at any point before the very end of the season.
Klaus, Elijah, and Hayley – These three characters are for sure set to be a part of “The Originals” spin-off series, and thus cannot be killed for that show to work. Considering that Phoebe Tonkin’s character is not even in Mystic Falls right now, she really does not have anything to worry about at all. Rebekah (Claire Holt) is probably also safe by our estimations, since Julie Plec would probably prefer to have three Originals in the spin-off.
From a personal standpoint, we feel that most of the likely targets here are going to be people who have turned up on the show a little bit more recently, and are thus more expendable than, say, a Caroline, a Bonnie (who seems to always be the target of death rumors), a Jeremy, or a Tyler Lockwood. We are thus talking about such people as Professor Shane, some of the characters we are set to meet during “Into the Wild” Thursday night, or Bonnie’s parents. Matt is also an intriguing possibility since we don’t know what the writers’ plans are for him, but we hope that really the only man without supernatural abilities on the show finds a way to stay alive.
