‘Raising Hope’ season 3 spoilers: Get ready for a ‘My Name is Earl’ reunion

Raising HopeAre you read for “Raising Hope” to take a page straight out of Camden Country? You have to love the love the executive producer Greg Garcia is showing for one of his former shows here in “My Name Is Earl,” as a major chunk of the underrated NBC show’s cast is going to be coming on board the comedy for its upcoming February 26 episode.

Many of the following actors have actually been on “Raising Hope” for at least one episode already, including Jason Lee (Earl), Jaime Pressly (Joy), Ethan Suplee (Randy), and Eddie Steeples (Crabman) as various roles that range from everything from Lee playing a rock start to Steeples taking on the part of a pizza delivery guy.

According to TVLine, some of the new “My Name Is Earl” actors stopping by for a first-time visit include Nadine Velazquez (Catalina), who is playing an employee at a party store, and Abdoulaye N’Gom (Nescobar-A-Lop-Lop) will be playing an airline pilot. It’s pretty impressive that most of the primary series regulars from the show all found an opportunity to make the jump over, especially since all of them have tried other shows and movie projects over the past several years. (Lee’s most-recent work in a starring role came on TNT’s “Memphis Beat,” while Preslley anchored the short-lived “I Hate My Teenage Daughter.”)

“Raising Hope” will remain the 8:00 p.m. anchor of the Fox lineup for a few more weeks, and there will even be some double-episode blocks coming on the air thanks to the cancellation of “Ben and Kate.” The show will be replaced in March by “Hell’s Kitchen,” but at least will get an opportunity to wrap up season 3 with a one-hour special airing after “American Idol” near the end that same month.

Overall, do you like this episode being both a fun edition of “Raising Hope” and a nice homage to “My Name Is Earl”? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below!
