‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2, episode 12 preview: Cora and Regina’s reunion
Ever since we first saw Cora in the present day on “Once Upon a Time” season 2, there was one seen worth looking forward to above all others: the big reunion between herself and Regina. Now that we’ve seen it, we certainly have to ask the question: was it worth the lengthy wait?
The answer here is a pretty undisputed “yes.” In the sneak peek below from Sunday night’s new episode “In the Name of the Brother,” you can see what appears to be the first real conversation between Barbara Hershey and Lana Parrilla’s characters. In it, things start out so tense that you’d need a chainsaw to cut through it: Regina does not want anything to do with her mother, even though she is putting on her best “I’m sorry” face while explaining that she understands why she was banished away in Wonderland, and what her own daughter hates her so.
Unfortunately for Cora, Regina does not seem to be falling for any of her verbal tricks … while at the same time, it’s not as though she is striking her down, either. She instead somehow believes that she can waltz into town and have Cora clear her name in the murder of Archie, when in reality this is not going to be so easy at all. Cora clearly wanted all of this to happen so that Regina would be emotionally vulnerable, and would have nowhere else to turn to the point where she would legitimately need her in order to have an ally. We’re not sure what the future holds for these two at the moment, but you can certainly color us excited.
If you want to see another promo for this episode that focuses almost entirely on David Anders’ Dr. Frankenstein, you can do so over at the link here.

Regina has already been cleared by Archie, only she doesn’t know it yet.
