‘The Good Wife’ season 4, episode 12 preview: Alicia and [spoiler] are … back?

The Good Wife“The Good Wife” would not be “The Good Wife” without finding a way to complicate Alicia Florrick’s love life, and once again on next Sunday night’s episode we will be seeing her get close yet again to a man that she just can’t seem to get away from: her not-so-good husband Peter.

So what’s the only thing more awkward than watching a very random hook-up between these two characters? Having Eli wander around outside and get a sense as to just what was going on behind closed doors. It is moments like these that make us pine for the days of Alicia and Will, who was just as intelligent and seemed at least a little bit more well-adjusted than Peter will ever be. Then again, maybe our harsh critique here is coming just from a place of exhaustion after having to deal with the whole Kalinda / Nick story for the entire first half of the season.

So do we assume that we have plenty more coming up on the financial state of Lockhart Gardner? Definitely, but since that does not really gran eyeballs, that is not what the producers decided to put into the promo below. Instead, we have a few funny lines about French, a lack of knowledge about the language, a reference to “Law & Order,” and some general light-hearted action. We still expect it to be a pretty strong episode, especially as the go regains some of its footing after starting to fall off the map critically for the first time during its entire run during the fall.

Does Peter and Alicia together make you cringe, or are you actually rooting for the two of them? We want to hear some of your thoughts below, and you can read some more scoop on Kalinda’s future over at the link here.
