‘Parenthood’ season 4 finale spoilers: First details on Jason Ritter’s return
Have you found this season of “Parenthood” to be especially fantastic? We sure have, and that has even been without the presence of Jason Ritter. Luckily, the actor will be back in action as Mark for the upcoming season 4 finale airing on January 22, and hopefully at that time we will figure out whether it is him or Ray Romano’s Hank that is destined to be with Sarah in the long-term.
This episode is carrying with it the rather interesting title of “Because You’re My Sister,” which seems like the sort of thing you would say to someone as a justification for doing something that could be otherwise perceived as an inconvenience to them. As for the official synopsis, check it out below for a treasure trove of details concerning what is coming up for a number of key characters:
“In the fourth season finale, Jasmine (Joy Bryant) and Crosby (Dax Shepard) plan an anniversary get away and receive exciting news. Kristina (Monica Potter) and Adam (Peter Krause) prepare for the next phase of her treatment. Drew (Miles Heizer) learns the results of his college applications. Amber (Mae Whitman) and Ryan (Matt Lauria) discuss the future of their relationship. Joel (Sam Jaeger) and Julia (Erika Christensen) plan an event for the entire Braverman family. Meanwhile, Sarah (Lauren Graham) is forced to make a decision about her relationships with Mark (Jason Ritter) and Hank (Ray Romano).”
So what could this exciting news be? We’ll let you take your guesses in the comment box below on that. We’re just hoping that whatever this is, it is not some way of trying to balance the pendulum as Kristina continues to go through her fight with cancer.
What do you want to see happen during the finale? If you want to go back and read our review of Tuesday night’s excellent “Parenthood” episode, you can do so over at the link here.

I rather watch what the writers come up with. They are doing a superb job – just the education and real-life example of a person with Aspergers is justification enough for this progam to continue for a long time.

I hope jasmine & crosby’s news is they are having a baby or her mom finds a job or both!! And I think Sarah doesn’t pick either one of them!

I want Sarah and Hank to be together. I was never a fan of Mark and Sarah. I love Hank’s character and Ray Romano plays him perfectly.
