‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Meet the new man in politics
If there’s one thing that “True Blood” needs, it’s more characters! Okay, we kid; this show somehow manages to pull off having an enormous cast, and the latest official inclusion to the show is the Governor of Louisiana. (Let’s just hope he’s nicer than the Governor from “The Walking Dead.”
According to a report from TVLine, former “Rubicon” star Arliss Howard has been cast to play the part of Truman Burrell, who is going to play a rather enormous role in season 6 of the HBO show. Sadly, additional details are still a little bit sketchy, with the exception of just one thing: this man hates vampires, and he has a very good reason for it. His wife ran away from him and abandoned his daughter in order to be with one of them, so this is just yet another obstacle for the various members of the Bon Temps undead populace to have to deal with … and there are still plenty of other problems around.
Burrell is one of the more-important characters arriving on the show this coming season, though we still believe what most fans are still curious about is trying to understand just who Warlow the vampire is, and what Sookie and Jason Stackhouse are going to do to try and take down the person responsible for killing their parents. There is also a new fairy love interest for Sookie, and a promotion for Alcide’s dad (played by Robert Patrick). All in all, it should be a fun season, and production is really going to start to roll into high gear beginning early next year in Los Angeles.
What do you think about this casting, and are you okay with their being so many new additions to the “True Blood” world for season 6? If you want to hear one star of the show speak out about the new season, you can do so over here.
