‘New Girl’ season 2, episode 11. Jess and Winston’s brief, hilarious, relationship
Is anyone else interested in shipping Jess and Winston on “New Girl” after this Christmas-themed episode? Okay, maybe not … but it’s hard to argue that the pair’s few minutes together as a made-up couple were anything short of hilarious.
Jess tried to use Lamorne Morris (in arguably his best episode to date) as a shield to try and get Sam to leave her alone; and since he couldn’t actually hear what she was doing to him, that made it all the more hilarious. Jess used the majority of this episode debating about whether or not she should give this guy a try at a relationship, especially when you consider the fact that he dumped her when she said that she wanted a relationship a while back.
In the end these two are giving things a go, whereas another relationship in Nick and Angie is fully off the ground now. Olivia Munn’s character is allowing him to fully wave his freak flag in the air without objection, and we really cannot think of anything at all that would be better for him at this given time (except for Jess, but we have a feeling that they are going to make us wait for that one to happen for at least a little while still).
Finally, the Christmas present for Schmidt and Cece wasn’t a lump of coal, but it was hardly a golden present wrapped under the tree, either. Rather, it was the mere revelation that the two parties are going to be giving a friendship a go after everything that they have been through, and we really cannot think of anything that makes us smile more (once again, just for now since we do want them together at the end of the day).
