‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: The next move for Nina Dobrev’s Elena
When your own brother is trying to kill you, it creates quite a dilemma for any TV character. Of course, this dilemma becomes worse almost immediately when you also realize that this character really does not want to go through with the act, but is rather being compelled to thanks to the urges that are being spurned in part by his new transformation into a vampire hunter.
So what is coming up next for Jeremy as well as Elena? Speaking to Zap2It, executive producer Julie Plec starts things off by explaining the future of Stephen R. McQueen’s character along with Matt (Zach Roerig), and then goes into what Nina Dobrev’s baby vampire is going to try to do in order to stop it:
“Unfortunately, we don’t actually get to see them in action for a while … In [Episode 9], Jeremy gets shipped off to the lake house for treatment. They’re in a predicament, which is that he loves his sister and she’s the one person he’d love to kill more than anybody, so … when we get to Episode 9 we’ll see that Elena has enlisted Bonnie to help. She’s seeking out unconventional methods to find a fix.”
With the timeline above in mind, don’t expect to really see much of Jeremy at all during Thursday night’s new episode “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street.” Instead, expect this hour to be focused mostly around Ian and Stefan Salvatore, and how their past led them to have the relationship that they do in the present (fractured as it may be now thanks to Damon possibly having a sire bond on Elena without even knowing it).
