‘Homeland’ season 2, episode 10 preview: Brody’s future plans (video)

Damian LewisAfter all that has transpired on “Homeland” season 2, how in the world is Nicholas Brody really going to be able to move forward? This is the question that plagues the latest sneak peek from Sunday night’s episode, which focuses on a conversation entirely between Brody and his new caretaker in Carrie.

At the moment, it looks as though we are in a calm before the storm for these two characters, as they each are preparing for what happens in the event that Abu Nazir is caught, and they can each resume living a normal life. When it comes to Brody, Claire Danes’ character informs him that she has been talking with the attorney general as of late, and it appears as though he is going to be willing to offer him a deal. What does it entail? Basically, the key components of it are that he has to first resign from Congress, and then opt to not take the Vice-Presidential nomination that is being offered to him at the moment by the current VP in Walden.

So how would Brody explain this to the press? This is the next inevitable question, and Carrie suggests that he could just do the obvious thing as play the “I want to spend more time with my family” card. Considering that Brody at present spends about 0% of his time with his family (and also seems unaware oft the fact that Jess totally slept with Mike while the children were just a few rooms away), it’s not like he could be spending any less time with the group.

Do we actually think that this plan will work out? Probably not, especially when you consider that there is a secret mission in play here to kill Brody the moment that Nazir has been brought in.

What do you think should happen in the event that the terrorist plot is for the time being over? If you want to see another sneak peek from this “Homeland” season 2 episode featuring Saul, you can do so over at the link here.
