‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’: Teresa Giudice gives back after Hurricane Sandy

Although you may see plenty of drama night in and night out on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” this is not anywhere near an indicator of how some of these ladies spend the rest of their time. For one such example of that, all you have to do now is look at what Teresa Giudice is doing in order to give back to those who are suffering following Hurricane Sandy.

Teresa knows very much about how this storm can cause damage, as her own shore home was flooded thanks to the storm. So what is she doing as a result of this now? On Saturday, the reality star spent some time at the Westfield South Shore Mall in Bay Shore, New York out on Long Island for an event that also was for a cause. In addition to meeting her, fans were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items in order to give back to everyone currently still suffering and without power as a result of the storm. Over nine million people were at one point without electricity, even though it has slowly started to trickle back to most of them.

Teresa is far from the only reality star looking to give back at this very moment, as the “Jersey Shore” cast is also looking to give back next week in a one-hour special called “Restore the Shore” that is airing after their new season 6 episode. In addition to that, many of her other “Housewives” co-stars who were impacted by the storm in a big way, including Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita, have also volunteered their time and used their celebrity for good.

Even though we often watch a show like “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” for drama, it is still encouraging at times to see all of the ladies come together in their own ways for a common purpose; and even though they may not be doing it together, it still serves as a form of harmony.
