‘Arrow’ spoilers: Meet Ted Gaynor!
It has only been two episodes since Diggle agreed to start working together with Oliver Queen on “Arrow,” but we are already starting to learn that there is going to be a man coming up soon that will drive a wedge between the two partners-in-fighting-crime … and it may all be due to Diggle’s past as a soldier.
According to a new report that is coming out now via IGN, “Stargate: SG-1” alum Ben Browder has been cast to play the role of Ted Gaynor, who is Diggle’s former Commanding Officer from his time in Afghanistan. As to what is going to make him enter the world of this show, he is a part of the Blackhawk Squad Protection Group who is going to be involved in handling a series of robberies in Starling City.
This appearance from Browder will be coming in the 11th episode of the new season, which is not going to air until early next year. Hopefully by the time this episode airs, we will have more of an opportunity to see just how consistent of a hit this show is. The ratings have yet to really climb since premiering to a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic, and the most-recent episode moved down to a 1.0. With that being said, this is still the second-strongest on The CW after “The Vampire Diaries,” and it also brings in a wider range of viewers than just about anything else.
What do you think about this casting news, and are you continually impressed by “Arrow” producers continuing to bring in some more characters from the DC universe on a weekly basis?
