‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: A look into November
Sadly, there is not going to be too much in the way of actual “Game of Thrones” season 3 footage to share in the immediate future, and we do not want to get the hopes up of anyone that there will be a full trailer to check out at any point during November.
However, in looking ahead to the rest of the month, we also do not want to say that it is completely out of the realm of possibility that the HBO series could launch a new teaser that shows at least some graphics and imagery from the new season. If you look back at some of what both they and other premium cable networks (think Showtime) have done in the past, there has been a tradition established of releasing teasers around 3-4 months before the start of a season. “Dexter” season 7 and “True Blood” season 6 are two such examples of that, and “Game of Thrones” will return on March 31.
Rather than focusing this entire “look ahead” article solely on speculation, let us shift now to what we do know. This coming week will see the start of filming in Iceland, which is expected to take place over a couple of weeks in a reasonably isolated part of the country. We don’t expect much in the way of set photos or videos coming in via fans, mostly because this is hardly going to be as accessible of a location as populated cities in Morocco or Croatia, but there could be some more goodies coming our way in an official capacity.
In a new post on Twitter, Cat Taylor (who runs the Making of Game of Thrones blog and works alongside executive producers D.B. Weiss and David Benioff) is promising that there will be some more goodies from the set coming up soon. Taylor recently posted a rather comprehensive list of just how much manpower it takes to get this series of the ground, and it will surely make your jaw drop.
Do you want to see some sort of teaser this month?
