Power season 6: La La Anthony talks big LaKeisha shocker

On tonight’s new episode of Power, a moment happened with LaKeisha that, in the minds of some, was inevitable. We’re not sure we saw her story ending in a way that was positive. She was too far into the mix of things, and from the moment that she ended up with Tommy, you could’ve made the case that it was going to end this way.

Heck, even tonight Tommy himself may have figured it was going to end this way. He recognized that she would be in danger, and her being approached by Blanca set a chain of events in motion that led to Tasha murdering her own longtime friend. While Ghost may claim that he’s out of the game, the woman he once loved is now more in it than ever.

Did Tommy love LaKeisha? In a lot of ways, it feels that way … but even La La herself knows that nothing was ever going to end perfectly. Speaking on the subject in a new Entertainment Weekly interview, the actress had the following to say:

I think something was always going to get in the way. I mean, they definitely were going to make an attempt at having some sort of normal life, but I think the way they were living, at least Tommy was living, they were never going to have that house in the suburbs with the white picket fence and the dog. I just feel like something was always going to get in the way of that and their past was going to catch up with them at some point. It was only a matter of time before this was going to happen.

So where do things go from here with LaKeisha out of the game? Think this way — Tommy’s going to have some fingers pointed at him. Yet, we’re thinking that he may have himself an alibi, intentional or not. Maybe Tommy lucked out with that … or maybe he thought it was possible someone like Tasha could strike.
