Is La La Anthony leaving Power? Is LaKeisha Grant dead
Well … it happened. We can’t say that we’re shocked, but this was as harrowing an episode as we’re going to see on the Starz drama. In the closing minutes, Tommy Egan found himself devastated to learn that LaKeisha was dead … and right before he was about to propose! She had done her part to profess loyalty to his face … and in some way, she did. She had figured out that the only way to protect both Tommy, herself, and Cash was for her and Cash to run away, and for Tommy to still be okay. Whether or not she would’ve gone through with that … this is something that is still up for debate. We never got to see it.

What we do know right now is this: LaKeisha was killed by Tasha, who was desperate to protect Tariq at every turn. Her concern that LaKeisha was going to sell out Tariq further was reason enough for her to do some of what she did, becoming a cold-blooded murderer. Also, Tasha probably thinks that Tommy will be pinned for her death, given that so much of LaKeisha’s deal was about turning on Tommy. Meanwhile, Tommy set himself up well with the flowers and the engagement ring. It certainly makes it seem as though he didn’t want to kill her. Maybe he legitimately loved her, or maybe this was a constructed alibi.
No matter the reason, we can say with confidence that this was a bonkers death, and one that absolutely had to happen for Power to move forward. This is a show with a high body count and the moment that LaKeisha got involved with Tommy, it was going to be a little bit too late for her. This was how her story was gonna end, but the various ins and outs of it added to the craziness a little bit more.
