Legacies season 2 premiere sneak peek: MG needs a distraction

Are you ready for the Legacies season 2 premiere to be here? Well, it’s going to be arriving on The CW in just a matter of hours! There’s going to be a lot of dark stuff in this premiere, mostly in that you’re going to see a world, fundamentally, without Hope Mikaelson as a part of it. She’s going to try and figure out her way back … and if she does that, she’ll also need to figure out a way for everyone to still remember that she’s a part of this world somehow.

We know that there’s going to be PLENTY of time to break all of that down, so let’s shift the attention elsewhere for the contents of this preview! In the sneak peek below, you can see a nice little window into everything that is going on with MG as he tries to spend the summer away from the Salvatore School. It also seems like he’s getting a little bit of help from Kaleb on the subject of trying to convince him to have a good time. It’s summer! They’re young! While spend your time dwelling on this in the past.

Unfortunately for MG, we don’t think having a simple conversation with Kaleb is going to be enough to help him feel better after what’s been going on with Lizzie Saltzman. His heart wants what his heart wants and it’s not so easy to just forget about that and move forward, even if on some level we’re sure that he would like for there to be some closure. Maybe that will progressively happen as some of these characters gradually start to spend some more time together.

In general, we’re rather happy to be seeing some of these characters get a little bit of time away from the school in the summer. Just think of how many series out there throw their hands into the air on summer, and choose quite simply instead to pick things up at the start of the new year? We appreciate on some level that this is different, and it feels very much like a breath of fresh air.
