Succession season 2 episode 10 (finale) spoilers: The sacrificial lamb
To be specific, next week’s “This Is Not For Tears” is going to be about sacrifices … and if there is someone who Logan is willing to throw under the bus. What’s the principal benefit for him doing this? Think along the lines of the following: It is a chance for him to be able to achieve a few problem areas within the company. Yet, in designating a sacrificial lamb, we’re not actually sure that he is solving any real problem. He’s just trying to find a way to save face to make the company look better. This could actually end up causing even more problems … but we imagine that this is a bridge that Logan will cross when he comes around to it. We don’t quite fashion him the sort of person who thinks about this stuff too far in advance. He’s basically a frog hopping across various rocks in a pond, just trying to get to the other side.
Below, CarterMatt has the official Succession season 2 episode 10 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming up next:
On the Roys’ grand Mediterranean yacht, Logan (Brian Cox) weighs whether a member of the family, or a top lieutenant, will need to be sacrificed to salvage the company’s tarnished reputation. Roman (Kieran Culkin) shares his hesitations about a new source of financing, as Kendall (Jeremy Strong) suggests a familiar alternative. Shiv (Sarah Snook) proposes taking her open marriage with Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) to another level. Connor (Alan Ruck) finds himself in an unenviable position as reviews of Willa’s (Justine Lupe) play roll in.
All of this does sound very much crazy, and that’s without even mentioning that there’s going to be a season 3 on the other side. The benefit to bringing this up now is mostly this: We’re going to have a chance to see things get even crazier from here.
