Grey’s Anatomy season 16 episode 2 video: More job troubles!
Let’s start things off here, though, with a quick refresher of everything that has happened to date. If you think about the end of season 15, then you’re familiar already with the idea that Meredith, Alex, and Webber were all fired. That means that the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is short-staffed; not only that, but it’s also means that some of these already-fired doctors are going to have to seek out some other work elsewhere. This is where things get a little bit messier, and understandably so. There are rivalries between hospitals, and nobody is going to be altogether pleased to learn that Alex and Webber have gone elsewhere.

Yet, what else are they to do? They’re doctors, and last we checked, doctors like to do whatever they can to practice medicine. They want to be able to keep treating patients and working in order to ensure that everyone is thinking and feeling okay. They are going to have problems, but they probably think that they can work their way through them.
If there is one person who may have more problems than anyone’s, it’s Webber. Why? It’s due to the close association Catherine Fox has with the Grey Sloan, and her feeling like him moving over is some sort of betrayal. Yet, he blames her also for not doing more to ensure that he didn’t have to do this — was there something more that could have been said and done in regards to Bailey? It’s at least something worth thinking about.
While we don’t think that these new jobs are going to stick forever … they should at least bring some drama in the short-term.
