God Friended Me season 2 cast discuss filming in Paris (video)

The God Friended Me season 2 premiere is coming onto CBS tonight and we know already this: There are a LOT of fantastic things to look forward to! Think in terms of this: There are more clues coming in terms of the God Account, but there are also questions about why the Account is doing what it is just as much as who is operating it. This is something that star Violett Beane told CarterMatt about in a new interview recently.

The video below is a nice primer to the premiere episode — in particular, the current state of the relationship between Miles and Cara in Paris. At the end of season 1, Beane’s character took off to France at the request of Simon Hayes, and she is now working on a book all about him. She’s going to run into trouble at times, but she is also going to stumble across some more clues all about the God Account at the same time. That will lead to Miles eventually heading over to Paris himself to spend some time with her — not that he needed a reason to want to go to Paris!

As Beane, Brandon Michael Hall, and others reveal in the video, Paris will be a perfect place for the two to explore their feelings — and also some of the changes that have happened for the two over time. While there’s still a connection between Miles and Cara, it would be foolish to just assume that the relationship between them is exactly the same to what we saw in season 1. Time, and living in different places, can change things.

There is one key thing that the video below does not address: The impact that the new character Joy will have on whatever is coming up next. As we saw at the end of season 1, this is a woman who got some a message from the God Account that could fundamentally change the course of everything.
