Supergirl season 5 episode 2 spoilers: ‘Stranger Beside Me’ details

Supergirl

Supergirl season 5 episode 2, airing next month on The CW, seems to be doing its part to hammer home some central themes. If you didn’t know, one of the goals for this upcoming batch of episodes is the relationship between humanity and technology. It is one that can be beneficial, but it’s also one that can take some wrong turns and become utterly chaotic. There’s a real fear that this could take over and you lose a sense of self.

So we know that tech is going to be a threat … but there are still questions as to what will happen in the end. There’s no one specific Big Bad other than the mysterious group Leviathan, and the title for episode 2 in “Stranger Than Me” doesn’t give too much away. What we can be aware of is that there are going to be more aliens in the earlier part of the season; meanwhile, there are going to be some people in power who are going to think they know what’s best for the world. We’ll see how all of this shakes out but, in the end, we’re mostly just hoping that Supergirl and the rest of the other characters do not lose themselves. Maintaining that identity is key to their survival … and also their long-term future.

Below, remember to check out the Supergirl season 5 episode 2 synopsis with some other news as to what’s coming up next:

TECHNOLOGY BECOMES THE NEW THREAT- Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), Alex (Chyler Leigh), and Brainiac (Jesse Rath) thwart an alien attack while William (Staz Nair) investigates Kara (Melissa Benoist). J’onn J’onzz (David Harewood) and Kelly (Azie Tesfai) use Obsidian tech to solve a problem. David McWhirter directed the episode, which was written by Dana Horgan & Katie Rose Rogers.

By the end of episode 2, let’s hope that the picture is a little bit clearer — and also in terms of how this season will set up Crisis On Infinite Earths. It is a little more clear what the foundation is over on both The Flash and then also Arrow.
