‘The Bachelor’: Be afraid with Courtney Robertson Halloween video

Somehow, someway, “The Bachelor” has found a way to milk Courtney Robertson more following their treatment of her as the villain (and also the winner) of Ben Flajnik’s season: they have also created a new video that showcases some of her most “evil” moments with a Halloween theme. The entire video here is pretty much a retread, but we are sure that some diehard fans of the show are probably still going to find it funny.

Even with that being said, though, there is something rather odd about this video that we find to be counter-intuitive  you’ve been trying so hard to set up this image of the show being about true love, especially in this time where we are seeing breakup after breakup of people who were on the show (including Courtney and Ben), and yet you create a video that is more or less mocking one of your contestants. Why do this? Aren’t there better ways to promote Sean Lowe’s season coming in January?

If this show did not set itself up to be the gold standard for reality dating programs, then it is pretty possible that we would have a feeling about this video that is rather different; instead, it just comes across as a tad too desperate given what we are currently going through with Courtney, Ben, Jef Holm, and Emily Maynard. (Then again, maybe we just got off on the wrong side of the bed considering that we loved the Courtney auto-tune video from earlier this year.)

What do you think about this video, and do you think we’re being a little too hard on the show?
